Locavore Challenge
The 2009 Locavore challenge will run from September 9th through September 23rd. The Town Hall Meeting will be on September 23rd, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sign up now to become a part of the Locavore challenge!
Pledge to become a Locavore and join other Chicagoans committed to eating locally grown and produced foods for two weeks!
Sign up at the Information Tent at the Green City Market or download a pledge form and fax it to 773-880-1262. Don't forget to pick up your Locavore kit at the Green City Market Information Tent. The Locavore Kit has a list of local stores containing local foods.

Get Educated: Learn where your food comes from and where you can get the locally grown and produced foods you love.
Get Ready: Plan ahead so you can choose the vendors and restaurants that support your goals.
Get Local: Make a conscious effort to buy foods from Illinois, bordering states and Michigan. Shop at the Market on Wednesday and Saturday from 7 am to 1 pm in Lincoln Park.
Get Involved: Come to our Town Hall Meeting on September 23rd and enjoy locally prepared hors d'oeuvres and beverages, celebrate and share recipes with other Locavores, and have your questions answered by the experts.

Visit one of our Participating Restaurants who will be serving a Lovacore menu item each day throughout the Lovacore Challenge! A number of restaurants will be offering a $1 donation that goes to support Green City Market’s programs.
