Mick Klug bought his farm from his parents. It has been in the family for 78 years. Mick, his wife, Cindy, and daughters Amy and Abby grow many varieties of fruits with the help of 15 employees. The Klug family understands the importance of sustainable agriculture and locally grown produce and is in the process of obtaining Food Alliance third-party certification for its farm. Mick has been providing fresh produce to the Green City Market for 7 years. In the spring, look for purple and green asparagus, rhubarb and strawberries. In the early summer, be sure to look for his raspberries and blueberries. Peaches, his biggest seller, and shelled peas also are specialties.
