Location & hours
The Chicago Green City Market indoor season will run from November 7, 2009 through April 2010.
From November 7th through December 23rd, the Indoor Market will be located at the Permeable Paver Lot on the north end of the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., every Wednesday and Saturday (no market Nov. 28). The Indoor Market will move inside to the Nature Museum's South Gallery for markets on the following dates (open 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.): Saturdays, Jan. 16, Feb. 13, Feb. 27, Mar. 13, Mar. 27, Apr. 10 and Apr. 24.
Parking is available on Cannon Drive or the lot across from the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
Public Transportation to the Indoor Market:
You can take the following CTA bus routes to Green City Market: Take the Northbound 151 Sheridan (or the 156 LaSalle on weekdays) to the Southeast corner of Fullerton Parkway and Stockton Drive. Walk north across Fullerton, then east to the main entrance on Cannon. The 76 Diversey bus stops in front of the Museum during Museum hours. The closest train stop is the Fullerton Red/Brown/Purple line stop (walk east on Fullerton to Cannon Drive).
The Chicago Green City Market outdoor season will run May through October, 2010, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Chicago Green City Market's outdoor market is located at the south end of Lincoln Park between Clark and Stockton Drive (approximately 1750 N. Clark). Discounted parking is available for $9.00 for the first two hours with validation in the Chicago Historical Museum parking lot off of Stockton Drive (for validation, patron must make a minimum $5 purchase at the market). The Lincoln Park trolley runs every Saturday through September 7th down Stockton Drive. It is free and picks up in front of the Historical Museum parking lot. The following CTA bus routes stop by Green City Market: 22 Clark, 36 Broadway, 73 Armitage, 151 Sheridan. The nearest train stop is the Clark/Division Red line (walk north on Clark to Green City Market).
